CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN

“Change We Can Believe In”
Perhaps we have all heard this slogan until we can hardly stand to hear it repeated but it is exactly what The Church of God needs, CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN. This is exactly what we need because if we continue in 2009 to do exactly the same thing we did in 2008, we can expect the same results and while we had success in ’08, I am still not happy with the results. It should be everyone’s desire to see God’s covenant people worshipping together, praying together and having fellowship one with another. Jesus said, “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” John 13:35 This would be change we can believe in. There are six distinct groups now claiming to be perpetuating this same doctrine, each being led by a different person and all but one claiming to have God’s man of the hour at the helm. Why can we not come together to find the mind of Christ for His Church? Presently the only place we can come together is at a funeral to bury one of our loved ones yet we declare we love one another but something is dreadfully wrong with this picture! “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” I John 4:20
It is time to come back together in 2009 and turn the Lord’s Church back over to Him since it belongs to Him in the first place. It was He who purchased it with His blood not some man. Think for a moment about how Christ perceives us as He looks upon these six groups who have divided against one another at the hand of Satan because the Bible teaches us that Christ is not divided and neither does He want us to be. Change we can believe in would be to come into a spiritual summit and allow the Holy Ghost to work His will above every man’s will and see the Church become in ’09 what Christ wants it to be. Jesus said, “Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathere thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Matthew 23:37 Jesus never rejected anyone but various groups have formed eliteist standards which are not biblical to eject and cull certain ones from their ranks while Jesus died for us all, not willing that any should perish and this causes one to wonder about such standards.
Let this be the year of “Change We Can Believe In” when we quit our bickering and confusion and come back into His courts with praise and thanksgiving and just be The Church of God (of Prophecy), biblical prophecy and standards. Let everyone feel WELCOME in the ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH OF GOD of the Bible!
